So after all my slacking off these past few weeks, I've made it back to my routine! We put X back into summer camp so I have my lunch hour to hit the gym, track, etc. again! I ran my 3 miles on Monday which made me feel awesome afterward! I tried for the first time Cardio Kickboxing/Abs class on Tues. and I woke up sore as heck. I took it easy yesterday (Wed.) and stretched and worked some more on my abs and my behind. I think I'm going to take a break today bc my body is aching. Guess that's the price you pay for getting off track. Anyway - what made me write on this blog today is the fact that I need to run tomorrow again and that's going to be rough since it's been too hot outside and I don't like the treadmill, so I may need to get up in the morning (ugh!) and hit the pavement.
Mel - I made that same mistake w/ Uche in our earlier days after Xavier! Except I think Mark is a wayyyyy healthier eater than Uche is and that hurt me too bc I ate all his junk (cookies, icecream etc). Now Uche says I motivate him to go workout and eat healthy!!! Never would've imagined that!
E - I've been seeing your Facebook posts....Let the Starbucks go before it becomes a routine!!! AND throw away those Debbie cakes and don't buy them again (they're evil)!!!!
ATM - Keep it up!!! Sounds like you're doing great! I want to try cycling cause I think it'll challenge some muscles that I'm probably not working out.
Miss you ladies : (

That's great! Keep up the good work! I completely understand the trying to be in sync thing because I will try to eat healthy and LaMonte will fuss at me for not working out but he'll eat chips and all the other junk and order food late at night which helped me gain my married weight. I am also having trouble with trying to run in the evenings because it's so hot, I did go around 10:00 this morning and it was hot but not that bad so I guess I'll have to go and just go a shorter distance.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Good job to you. Keep up the good work. You have to force yourself to do it, even when you don't want to. When I think about not going to the gym or eating something really unhealthy I think about my goal and it gets me back on track. I've gained a lot of weight and it's gotta go!
ReplyDeleteOh and T, spin class is great! The new instructor at the gym has been kicking my butt!!!! You definitely target some muscles you wouldn't normally use. Great for the legs and butt. In the 60 minute class you typically burn about 750-800 calories. You should try it. I will forewarn you that your butt bone will be sore afterwards. But once you get used to it, it goes away.
